Catriona & Greg were love personified in their beautiful Edinburgh wedding at Prestonfield House. An absolute downpour in the morning gave way to beautiful sunshine for the ceremony and party but I don’t think the two of them could have cared less if Noah himself had pitched up in a dingy and said’ “it’s a bit of a damp day to get married”. They were so exceptionally happy. Even if Catriona did only get Greg a mug. If you’d like us to create a unique cinematic memoire of your wedding day, drop us a line today.
Tell us about your day; what were your expectations, how did you feel, how did it all go?
We loved our wedding day! It went far too quickly after months of organising but it couldn’t have gone any better. We wanted our family and friends to have a great time and we were so happy to see that they did! As we had only attended two weddings before our own we weren’t too sure what to expect but we had an absolutely fantastic day.
How did you meet and become engaged?
We first met whilst at secondary school together, but we didn’t start dating until we were both at university and started seeing each other at mutual friend’s flat parties. After 5 years of dating, Greg proposed at Catriona’s family cottage in the Highlands.
Where did you find inspiration for your Edinburgh wedding?
Discussions with friends and family. And lots of evenings browsing Pinterest and watching wedding videos!
Why did you choose Prestonfield House?
Prestonfield House is a beautiful venue, which offers countryside views in the centre of Edinburgh. The staff and food are second to none and provided a unique venue and atmosphere for our reception in the Stables.
Why did you choose to have a video of your day?
We wanted a video of our day so that we would always be able to look back at our wedding and remember as much of it as possible – even the little bits we didn’t get a chance to witness!
What was your favourite part in your highlight film?
We loved that the highlight film perfectly captured the essence of our day! The footage is beautiful and it was so lovely to see our family and friends smiling and laughing. We just love our highlight film and can’t thank Rob enough – we still can’t stop watching it!
Any tips for future Brides and Grooms?
Just enjoy the day – and remember to take a few moments together, away from all the celebrations!
Any unexpected moments?
The rain that came early in the morning. Fortunately it all disappeared to provide us with a beautiful sunny day!
